We have appointed Nicola Ker as head of our private client department and to our board of directors

Nicola brings a wealth of private client expertise, including on the creation and management of trusts, establishing family investment companies, administering complex and high-value estates, preparing wills and powers of attorney and providing inheritance tax advice.

Following her appointment, MCM will provide a full suite of private client services, with Nicola working alongside senior associate director Jacqueline Tainsh and other members of our private client team.

It coincides with recent changes to inheritance text and and capital gains tax rules and thresholds, bringing business and estate planning to the forefront of individuals and business owners.

The appointment is the latest in a series of promotions and hires that we have initiated in recent months. Commenting on her appointment, Nicola said: “MCM is a dynamic firm and I am excited to be able to offer my own particular skillset to this growing team which already offers legal advice in a wide range of areas.”
